KIRKSVILLE, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team lost a 75-63 decision at GLVC Central Division leader Truman State on Tuesday afternoon.
The host Bulldogs shot a season-high 58 percent, while playing their fifth straight home game. The Tritons shot 41.7 percent, but made just 3-of-12 three-pointers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Truman State pulled away from an 11-11 tie after the first quarter by using a 14-2 run in the second quarter, capped with 10 unanswered, to take a 23-13 lead at the midway point of the frame.
The Bulldogs held a 32-26 advantage at halftime and extended the lead in the third quarter to 44-31 at the 5:27 mark after scoring eight unanswered, which included six in a 25-second span. Truman State later posted their largest lead at 51-35 before taking a 53-42 advantage into the final 10 minutes.

- Senior Alex LaPorta finished with 19 points, nine rebounds, two assists and three steals.
- Sophomore Breanna Diestelkamp added 11 points and six rebounds.
- The Tritons outrebounded Truman State, 28-24, including 10-3 on the offensive end.
- UMSL picked up 11 steals with senior Danielle Berry also collecting three.
