ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The Drury Panthers won four consecutive matches from Sept. 12-26.
The Panthers now can add another win to their 2021 resume as they left Don Dallas Field with the gritty 3-2 win -- pushing their record to 5-4-1 overall and 5-1-1 in GLVC play.
Ian Conger put this team on the board at the 36:53 mark of the opening half, giving the visitors the momentum as the teams headed to intermission.
Joshua Lewis-Evans, nearly 13 minutes into the second half, added one for his second goal of the season, before Adem Hamdaoua converted his fourth goal of the campaign.
Chippy play and tempers illuminated the pitch in the second half as a total of 10 yellow cards were given (six to the host Tritons).
Down 3-0 late in the match, the Tritons could have just packed up shop and lived to play another day, but senior forward
Arman Kovac wouldn't abide by such a notion.
Kovac netted both of the Tritons' goals (68:03, assist by
Tommy Naumann) and again at the 86:16 (unassisted) mark for his fifth goal of the season.
The Tritons don't have any time to lick their wounds as they host SBU at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
