ST. CHARLES – Junior
McKenzie Lathrom equaled a season-high 25 points to help lead the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team to a 74-70 win at Lindenwood on Thursday night.
Lathrom, who made her first eight field goals, finished 10-of-14 from the field, including 5-of-6 from three-point range. It was just the third time she scored in double figures this season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UMSL held an 18-17 lead after the first quarter, while Lindenwood took a 38-36 lead at the break. Lathrom scored 17 of her points in the opening 20 minutes, making all seven of her shot attempts, including all three from three-point range.
The Lions scored six straight late in the third quarter and took a pair of six-point leads – their largest of the game, but UMSL closed the gap to 56-55 heading into the final 10 minutes.
It was then the Tritons' turn to score six straight in the fourth quarter, which gave them a 65-60 lead with four minutes to play. UMSL would seal the game by going 7-of-10 at the free throw line in the final 44 seconds.

- Senior Alex LaPorta finished with 16 points, four rebounds, four steals and four assists.
- UMSL shot 50.9 percent, while Lindenwood shot 48.1 percent and held a 30-28 rebounding advantage.
- The Tritons forced 18 turnovers, including eight in the fourth quarter.
- Junior Kiara Stewart pulled down seven rebounds to go with nine points.
