ST. LOUIS – The No. 9 ranked University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team won a pair of 3-1 matches on Saturday, defeating No. 18 ranked Indianapolis and No. 17 ranked Rockhurst in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
UMSL improves to 5-1 with the victories.
No. 9 UMSL 3, No. 18 Indianapolis 1 (25-14, 21-25, 25-20, 25-15)
The Tritons hit .237 en route to the win, getting a career-high 20 kills from sophomore
Mya Elliott, while junior
Charlotte Richards added 16 kills and recorded the double-double with 13 digs.
Senior
Kaileen Herman directed the offense with 51 assists and nearly notched the triple double with nine kills and nine digs.
UMSL limited the Greyhounds (4-3) to .133 hitting with junior
Megan Woll tallying 29 digs and freshman
Kylie Adams added 21.
Sophomore
Lexie Rang finished with 17 digs and two service aces.

UMSL hit .284 against the Hawks, racking up 66 kills, while limiting Rockhurst to .083 hitting.
Three players finished in double figure kills, led by Richards with 17. Elliott added 14, while redshirt sophomore
Olivia Klank finished with 12.
Herman dished out 53 assists, while Woll recorded another 29 digs.
Richards notched her second double-double of the day by adding 19 digs and also served up three aces.
