INDIANAPOLIS – University of Missouri-St. Louis redshirt senior goalkeeper Anton Mukhin was named the season's first Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Defensive Player of the Week in the sport of men's soccer, the league announced on Monday.
 
Mukhin posted a pair of shutouts last weekend, making nine saves across 200 minutes in goal. He recorded seven of those stop in a scoreless draw against Illinois Springfield on Sunday with four of those coming in overtime.
 
UMSL (1-0-1, 1-0-1 GLVC) returns to the pitch on Friday at Quincy.
