ST. LOUIS – Junior
John Hilpert went 4-for-4 in game with a walk-off RBI single to help the University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team to a 5-4 win in the first of two games against Lewis on Saturday. The Flyers took the nightcap, 9-5.
UMSL and Lewis close out the series tomorrow at 12 p.m. in a single game.

GAME 1: UMSL 5, Lewis 4
The Tritons rallied for the win with two runs on four hits in the bottom of the seventh, including Hilpert's walk-off RBI single. Redshirt junior
Matt DiMemmo added an RBI single in that frame that tied the game at 4-4.
UMSL out-hit the Flyers, 11-6. DiMemmo and sophomore
Mitchel Becher finished with two hits each.
Junior
Clayton Stephens recorded a two-run pinch hit homer in the sixth that brought UMSL within 4-3.
Freshman
Jake Uselton picked up his first collegiate win, going one and one-thirds of an inning in relief.
GAME 2: Lewis 9, UMSL 5
The Flyers pulled away from a 5-5 tie with a four-run sixth.
The Tritons had jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first, getting those runs on two hits, including an RBI single from Becher.
Becher also recorded an RBI single in the second to make it 4-2, while in the fifth inning, junior
Bryce Burton knotted the score at 5-5 with a solo home run.
Both teams recorded eight hits, while the Tritons left 12 runners on base after also drawing six walks.
