ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first inning, but lost a 6-3 decision to Missouri S&T in the first game of a four-game series on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UMSL recorded of its six hits in the first inning, including an RBI single from freshman Leighton Keller. Keller would also score in that frame on a wild pitch.
- Missouri S&T scored its six runs on eight hits. They plated three runs on two hits in the third inning.
- Junior Bryce Burton's RBI sac bunt drove in the Tritons' third run in the seventh to cut the deficit to 5-3.
- Junior Carson Holin finished 3-for-4 at the plate in the leadoff position, including a double.
