SPRINGFIELD, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team split at Drury on Sunday, taking the opener, 6-1, before falling in the nightcap, 5-4.

Game 1: UMSL 6, Drury 1
The Tritons scored six runs on four hits and got a five-hit complete game effort from junior
Mimi Bradley in the circle to garner the victory.
Bradley struck out six and walked two, while allowing one run, which was unearned.
Sophomore
Irene Travis gave UMSL an early 2-0 in the first inning with a two-run double, while fellow sophomore
Annie Scaramuzzi made it 4-0 in the second with a two-run homer. Sophomores
Jenna Towle and
McKenzie Lamos added RBI singles in the fourth for a 6-0 advantage before Drury plated an unearned run in the bottom of the frame to prevent the shutout.
Lamos recorded two hits, while Scaramuzzi scored two runs to lead of the offense.
Game 2: Drury 5, UMSL 4
All four of the Tritons' runs came on home runs.
Towle used a solo long ball in the top of the fourth to tie the game at 1-1 before the Panthers countered with four runs in the bottom of the frame for 5-1 advantage.
Junior
Corinne Daley added a two-out three-run blast in the seventh inning for the final score.
UMSL recorded eight hits to the Panthers' seven, with Scaramuzzi and sophomore
Morgan Barnoski tallying two hits each.
Towle suffered the loss in relief, allowing four runs on three hits. Scaramuzzi allowed one run on four hits in the start, going two and two-thirds of an inning.
