EAST PEORIA, ILL. – The No. 7 ranked and No. 2 seed University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team swept No. 7 seed Rockhurst on Friday afternoon in quarterfinal round action of the GLVC Tournament.
 
With the victory, the Tritons advance to tomorrow's semifinal against No. 3 seed Southern Indiana at 5 p.m.
 
UMSL prevailed with a 30-28 win in the first set before closing out the match with wins of 25-17 and 25-22.

GLVC Player of the Year Charlotte Richards led the offense with a match-high 19 kills. The Tritons hit .231 as a team with senior Kaileen Herman directing the offense with 46 kills. Both Richards and Herman tallied a double-double with Richards recording 13 digs and Herman 15.
 
Junior Megan Woll finished with 22 digs, moving 30 digs shy of becoming the program's all-time career leader in that category.
 
Rockhurst was limited to .153 hitting, which included just .085 in the third set.
 
The win was the 10^th straight for UMSL, while Rockhurst had its seven-match win streak snapped.
