EVANSVILLE, IND. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis won twice on Saturday at the Southern Indiana Tournament.
Charlotte Richards became the 10th student-athlete to record 1,000 career kills in program history during the first match. UMSL topped the University of Alabama Huntsville 3-1 and followed with a 3-0 sweep of Davis & Elkins to end the tournament.

Charlotte Richards often against Alabama Huntsville (3-4). Richards achieved 1,000 career kills with her 18th kill of the match. She went on the finish with 24 kills in the morning session.Â
UMSL won the first set 25-23, but dropped the second set 25-21. The Tritons would regain control of the match with a 25-22 win in set three. UMSL ran away with the fourth set 25-14.
Alexa Rang finished with 13 kills and 20 digs in the first match of the day.
Megan Woll recorded 29 digs.
Kaileen Herman set 39 assists and passed 13 digs.
In the second match, the Tritons made quick work of Davis & Elkins (1-5). The Tritons held a .376 hitting percentage in the match. UMSLÂ won the first match 25-17. The Tritons followed with 25-14 and 25-11 set wins respectively to earn the sweep.
Charlotte Richards finished the second match with 13 kills.
Mya Elliott had nine kills with a .692 hitting percentage.
Kaileen Herman had 26 assists.
Megan Woll finished with 12 digs.
The Tritons will hit the road to start Great Lakes Valley Conference play at the University of Illinois Springfield on Thursday, September 16th at 7 p.m.
