ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Two days after sustaining just their second loss on the season, the UMSL women's basketball team took it to visiting Quincy in the 58-37 final.
The win pushes the Tritons to 11-2 overall and 7-1 in the GLVC.
Setting the tempo illuminated the game plan, as the Tritons jumped out to the 15-4 lead after the opening quarter and stretched it to 30-13 at halftime..

Mallory Ronshausen and
Jalysa Stokes -- senior catalyst
Faye Meissner took over, netting 19 points to lead all scorers.
Alex LaPorta, who will break the all-time rebounds record next week, tallied 12.
Kiara Stewart had 10.
McKenzie Lathrom had eight,
Adriana Plavsic had five, and
Taylor Thompson and
Shania Liburd added two each.
The Tritons are off until next Thursday when they travel to Rockhurst.
