Tritons baseball falls short in season opener

The UMSL baseball team fell short Friday in the season opener at the University of Montevallo (Alabama), 11-0.

The Tritons produced six hits while allowing 14.

Each team committed one error each, but Montevallo was able to capitalize with ducks on the pond.

It's a quick turnaround as the team is back on the diamond Saturday for a doubleheader.

Nick Torres went 4 innings, allowing five earned runs.
