The UMSL Tritons battled back but fell in the end to the University of Montevallo 5-2 on the front end of a Saturday doubleheader in Alabama.
Adam Rose got the call, falling behind 2-0. But the offense began to plug away.
Ben Beier drilled his first collegiate hit ... a home run.
Bryce Kulinski also had one RBI.
Beier also scored both runs.
Brandon Olion went 2-for-4.
But Montevallo plated three more runs in the bottom of the 6th to cap the win.
