Every team faces a trap team at some point during the season.
For the UMSL women, that night was tonight as the Lewis Flyers authored an 8-2 run to close out the 70-60 win Tuesday in Illinois.
It was a tight contest from the onset, as both teams were tied at 32 at halftime.
But a 50-percent efficiency from the outside by the Flyers was too much to counter for the Tritons.
Kiara Stewart continued her torrid tear, pacing the team with 14 points.
Faye Meissner also added another solid game to the resume with her 13 points.
Freshman
Jalysa Stokes added 12.
The women are off until Saturday when they return to Chuck Smith Court to face Lindenwood.
