ST. LOUIS, MO. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team suffered its first GLVC loss on Sunday with a 2-1 setback to Quincy in game one of the twin bill, but bounced back in the nightcap with a 1-0 walk-off victory to garner the split.

Game 1: Quincy 2, UMSL 1
Quincy used a pair of late solo home runs to record the win. The Hawks tied it in the sixth on just their second hit of the game and made it 2-1 with another long ball to lead off the seventh.
UMSL scored in the third when senior Corinne Daley delivered a two-out RBI single to drive in senior Anna VanGundy.
Seven different players had a hit for the Tritons, including junior Annie Scaramuzzi who tallied a double.
Junior Jenna Towle suffered the loss despite scattering three hits and allowing two runs in six and one-third of an inning. She struck out seven and walked one.
Game 2: UMSL 1, Quincy 0
Junior Morgan Barnoski walked it off with a two-out RBI single that scored Scaramuzzi. Scaramuzzi singled and advanced to third on a single by sophomore Riley Schultz.
The game saw a combined 11 hits, including seven from the Tritons, while neither team advanced a runner past second base until the seventh inning.
Scaramuzzi won her fourth straight game behind the four-hit shutout, which was her fourth of the season. She struck out nine and walked three.
Schultz led the offense with two hits.
Up Next: UMSL travels to the west side of the state next weekend to visit Rockhurst on Saturday and William Jewell on Sunday.
