WARRENSBURG, MO. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis softball team bounced back from an 8-0 loss in game one to record a 5-1 victory in the nightcap in a non-conference doubleheader at Central Missouri on Tuesday afternoon.

Game 1: Central Missouri 8, UMSL 0 (5 inn.)
The Tritons were limited to just two hits and plagued by four errors defensively.Â
Central Missouri recorded seven hits, including three triples and a home run.
Game 2: UMSL 5, Central Missouri 1
UMSL jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning thanks to an RBI double from junior Irene Travis and a two-run homer from graduate student Megan Brown.Â
Two more runs came home in the fifth inning on RBI singles from junior McKenzie Lamos and senior Corinne Daley.Â
UMSL tallied nine hits, including three from senior Anna VanGundy and two from sophomore Maddie Snemis.Â
Brown earned her second win of the season in the circle with the complete game five-hit effort. She struck out five and walked one, while the one run she allowed was unearned.Â
