Ozark, Mo. – Drury used the power of five home runs to earn a doubleheader sweep of the University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team Saturday at US Ballpark in Ozark, Mo. The Panthers hit a pair of round-trippers and limited the Tritons to only three hits in a 7-4 win in the first game of the day. In the nightcap, Drury hit three more home runs to earn an 11-3 victory over the Tritons.
Game One – The Tritons opened the scoring in the top of the first as
Clayton Stephens ripped his team-leading 10
thhome run of the season over the left-field wall to put UMSL on top 1-0. The Tritons added to the lead in the top of the second as
Logan Mantz opened the frame with a walk and moved to second on a
Matt DiMemmo single to place runners at first and second. Both runners scored as
Carson Holin laced a two-run double down the left-field line to make the score 3-0.
Brandon Olion plated another run with an infield groundout to extend the lead to 4-0.
The Panthers evened the contest by scoring two runs in both the second and third innings to put the score at 4-4. Drury took their first lead of the game in the bottom of the fourth with three runs on three hits to grab a 7-4 advantage.
That is all that Drury would need as the Panthers retired nine of the last 10 Tritons batters to earn the opening game victory.

Game Two – The Panthers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the home half of the first with a pair of home runs over the left-field wall to open the nightcap. Drury added to the lead in third with their third home run of the game and an RBI single to push the advantage to 4-0.
Drury used five hits in the bottom of the fourth to plate four runs as the Panthers remained ahead of the Tritons 8-0.
The Tritons got on the scoreboard in the top of the fifth as
Bryce Kulinski started the inning with a single down the right-field line and moved to second as
Jared Bryant drew a walk. Kulinski came around and scored on an Olion double to cut the Panthers lead to 8-1. Bryant then scored on a wild pitch while Olion cruised home after a Stephens double to make the score 8-3. Drury answered in the bottom of the frame with three runs of their own to extend the lead to 11-8.
