KIRKSVILLE, MO. - The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's tennis team won their first Great Lakes Valley Conference match of the season, 6-1, at Truman State University. UMSL played with five athletes and won every match they participated in.
Odette Beagrie and
Leticia Lunge won the top doubles match 6-3.
Tara Erler and
Anna Domingo won the second doubles match 6-0 to win the doubles point. The third doubles was won by default by Truman State (12-4, 0-1 GLVC).
The Tritons (6-5, 1-0 GLVC) continued their success in singles. Beagrie won the No. 1 singles match 6-0, 6-1. Domingo followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win in No. 2 singles.
Maja Lietzau claimed No. 3 singles by scores of 6-0, 6-2. Lunge and Erler both won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0 in No. 4 and No. 5 singles respectively. Truman won their lone point by default in No. 6 singles.
The Tritons travel to Quincy University on Sunday to play in a GLVC match starting at 2 p.m.
