INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis secured a sixth-place finish in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) All-Sports Trophy standing, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
The GLVC All-Sports Trophy is presented to the institution that demonstrates the best all-around performance in the league's 24 sponsored sports. Points are allocated based on overall finish in the respective sport's Conference tournament and league standings.
The Tritons totaled 137.5 points, while tying its highest finish in the standings since 2012-13. The All-Sports Trophy includes 24 sports, 19 of which UMSL offers.
UMSL won GLVC titles in men's basketball and men's golf and earned a runner-up finish in volleyball.
Indianapolis won its 10th-straight GLVC All-Sports Trophy, totaling 218 points behind a league-high five GLVC titles.
The All-Sports Trophy was first instituted in the GLVC during the 1978-79 season with seven different institutions having claimed the award.
