ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's and women's swimming teams competed at Ouachita Baptist on Saturday in Arkadelphia, Ark.
The host Tigers defeated both the men (146.5-87.5) and the women (123-108).
The UMSL men won five events, including the 200 and 500 freestyle by freshman
Hendrik Bechtel and the 100 fly and 200 individual medley by senior
Conley Savage. Senior
Guillem Masjuan Roca won the 100 back.
The Triton women picked up four event wins. Freshman
Justice Beard won the 1,000 free while senior
Zara Konstapel took the top spot in the 100 breast. UMSL's 200 medley relay team of freshman

Kate Nelson won the 200 medley relay and the quartet of junior
Ava Boehning, sophomore
Madison Bottorff, Nelson and A. Lantz won the 200 free relay.
UMSL hosts William Jewell in its home opener this Friday (Oct. 20) at 3 p.m. at the UMSL Swimming Pool.
