ST. LOUIS – University of Missouri-St. Louis Director of Athletics Lori Flanagan announced on Wednesday that Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator Jessica Chandler has been promoted to Senior Associate Director of Athletics/SWA.
"Jessica has made significant contributions to the growth of UMSL Athletics and its continued rise in excellence," Flanagan said. "With the changing landscape in college athletics today, the additional responsibilities that will become a part of her day to day oversight will allow our student-athletes to remain compliant while achieving success."
Chandler is in her 15th year at UMSL, beginning as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance and SWA before being promoted to Associate Director of Athletics/SWA in January 2018.
She is the Department of Athletics' liaison on national letters of intent, academics, financial aid, scholarships, compliance, residential life and conduct matters, while ensuring all units comply with University, conference and NCAA regulations. Chandler also provides direction and guidance to the Faculty Athletic Representative on NCAA and conference requirements. Additionally, Chandler will assist and implement training for student-athlete welfare, mental health, life-balance requirements, NIL options and the demands of the transfer portal.
