Leighton Keller reached on a fielder's choice to the pitcher as Laskowski scored on a throwing error by Connor Brooks to tie the game. Green put the Tritons back in front with a double to right driving in Mantz and Keller.

UAH cut UMSL's lead in its half of the fourth on a solo home run off the bat of Colin Brewer with one out in the frame. The Chargers tied the game in the fifth on a single by Landon Ezzell that scored Garrett Bodine.

The Tritons retook the lead in the seventh. Jacob Isaacs scored from second on a soft groundout to second off the bat of Carson Holin to make it 5-4 and then Laskowski singled to center to bring home Braedon Stoakes.

UMSL broke it open with three runs in the eighth. Simard drove in Keller with a single to left center with one out. After an error by the pitcher loaded the bases, Stoakes brought in Isaac Powers, running for Green, with a sacrifice fly to right. Holin drove in his second run of the game lining a single over the second baseman's head to bring in Simard. Isaacs also tried to score on the play but was thrown out at home to end the inning.

The nightcap between UMSL and the Chargers was a pitcher's duel as the game was scoreless until the seventh. Aguallo led off the top of the seventh with a single, stole second and scored on Andrew Buescher's single through the left side of the infield.

The Tritons added an insurance run later in the inning as Stoakes doubled down the right field line to drive in Powers, who was running for Steiner.
