ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's swimming team is in sixth place after the third day of the GLVC Swimming and Diving Championships at the Deaconess Aquatics Center in Evansville, Ind. The Tritons have a total of 374 points and are 16 points behind Truman State for fifth and 55 points behind Lewis for fourth heading into Friday's session.
The Triton 400-yard medley relay team of
Stephanie Schoemans,
Zara Konstapel,
Kristen Stalder and
Ava Boehning finished fifth in the event with a time of 3:50.64 while the team of
Mackenzie Greenley,
Olivia Gawronski,
Callie Clinton and
Madison Bottorff took third in the B-Final in a time of 3:58.42.
UMSL got scoring performances from Stalder in the 100-yard butterfly as she touched the wall at 57.91 seconds, Clinton in the 100 fly at 58.81 seconds while Konstapel and Bottorff finished with times of 59.61 and 59.72 seconds respectively in the 100 fly.
Isabella Gruidl finished with a time of 4:35.12 in the 400-yard individual medley and
Cheyanne Godleski finished at 4:52.43 in the 400 IM. Schoemans and
Rebecca Bechtel both picked up points the 200-yard freestyle. Schoemans had a time of 1:55.30 in the event while Bechtel came in at 1:57.69.
The meet continues Friday with prelims and finals in the 500-yard freestyle, the 100-yard backstroke, the 100-yard breaststroke, the 200-yard butterfly and the 200-yard freestyle relay.
