ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's tennis team defeated Harding 4-2 in its match on Friday afternoon at the Forest Lake Tennis Club in Chesterfield, Mo. The Tritons improve to 5-2 while the Bison drop to 5-10.
UMSL won the first four singles contest to win the match.
Anna Domingo beat Grace Dodd 6-3, 6-3 in the first singles contest.
Maja Lietzau followed with a 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 10-6 win over Karli Roux at number two singles.
Hannah Tse knocked off Lina Romero 6-2, 6-3 in the third singles contest and
Anna Favaron beat Jing Yang 6-2, 4-6, 10-7 in the number four singles match.
Kaitlyn Challis fell to Rachel McCrae 3-6, 0-6 at number five singles.
The Tritons are back in action next Saturday (March 18) when they travel to Bolivar, Mo., to take on Southwest Baptist at 1 p.m.
