ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision at Rockhurst on Sunday at the Overland Park Racquet Club in Overland Park, Kan. The Tritons drop to 3-7 while the Hawks improve to 7-5.
Rockhurst won two of the three doubles matches to win the opening point of the match. UMSL's number two doubles team of
Raphael Kerndl and
Juan Vigil defeated Joe Harris and Semyon Tsyrenov 6-2.
The Hawks clinched the match winning three of the six singles contests.
Jose Mayorga lost to Louis Keiner 6-2, 6-3 at number one singles, Vigil fell to Josef Truhlar 6-2, 6-1 in the second singles contest and
Joshua Mackey trailed in his match with Agustin Cortes when he had to retire due to injury in the second set.
The Tritons are back in action this Friday hosting Drury at 2 p.m. at the UMSL Tennis Courts.
