Osa Sets School Record in 50 Free on Second Day of NCAA Championships

ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis had two men's swimmers competing on the second day of the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships at the IU Natatorium on Wednesday.

Jon Osa swam in the second heat of the 50 freestyle winning his heat with a school record time of 20.04 seconds breaking the previous mark of 20.13 set by Gabriel Jimenez at the Drury Last Chance Meet in 2020. Osa finished 18th overall in the prelims and was one of two alternates for the finals in the event.

Conley Savage raced in the 200 individual medley prelims in lane eight of the fifth heat. He finished with a time of 1:49.68 to place 27th in the prelims.

Osa will swim in the 100 fly prelims while Savage will compete in the 400 IM on Thursday beginning at 9 a.m. (CST).
