WEEKLY REWIND…

Women's Golf
The Tritons finished fourth at the University of North Georgia Bracket Challenge last Monday and Tuesday. UMSL went 0-2-1 in the format. It beat West Georgia by tiebreak in the first match then lost to host North Georgia in the semifinals 4-1 and to fifth seeded Columbus State in a tiebreak in the third-place match on Tuesday.

Men's Golf
The Tritons finished tied for ninth with a score of 592 (305-287) at the Argonaut Invitational last Monday and Tuesday in Pensacola, Fla. Joel Sylven was UMSL's top finisher as he finished in a tie for sixth with a score of 142.

Baseball
The Tritons split their four-game series at Truman State last weekend. UMSL dropped the first two games of the series but bounced back to win the final two. Dylan Wobbe picked up the win in game four of the series allowing one run in four innings pitched.

Softball
The Tritons had a tough weekend dropping four contests. UMSL fell in a pair of one-run decisions against Illinois Springfield last Friday and then was swept at Lewis on Saturday afternoon. Megan Brown had a two-run double in game one against the Prairie Stars last Friday.

Men's and Women's Track and Field
The Tritons won three events and had 16 top 10 finishes at the McKendree Bearcat Classic last Friday. Benjamin VandenBrink won the 1,500 while Matthias Shelp was the winner in the 5,000 meters. Michael Wright and Gavin Love were second and third respectively in the 800 meters. For the women, Lily Wagemann won the 1,500 meters and Haeley Johnson had three top 10 finishes. She was second in the long jump, third in the 100 meters and seventh in the 200 meters.

Men's Tennis
The Tritons got wins from Juan Vigil and Joshua Mackey in its match against Maryville last Saturday but it wouldn't be enough as the Saints won 5-2 at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center

Women's Tennis
The Tritons dropped their match at Maryville last Saturday 5-2. Maja Lietzau picked up a 7-5, 7-5 win over Carolina Velazquez and Lisa Kirr defeated Nazil Saka 6-2, 6-2.
