ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's soccer team played to a scoreless draw at Rockhurst on Sunday afternoon at Bourke Field in Kansas City, Mo. The Tritons are now 2-0-2, 1-0-1 GLVC while the Hawks are 2-2-1, 0-1-1 GLVC. UMSL extends its unbeaten streak to four.
Rockhurst outshot the Tritons 13-3, including a 4-2 edge in shots on goal, and had seven corner kicks to UMSL's two.
Melo Mensah and
Aaron Boulch had UMSL's shots on goal. Boulch's chance came late in the first half and Mensah's chance came in the 85th minute as he tried to beat the keeper to the lower left corner.
Austin Reis stopped all four shots he faced to pick up his second shutout of the weekend and season.
The Tritons conclude their season opening five-game road trip next Sunday as they head across the river to take on McKendree at 2:30 p.m. at Leemon Field.
