ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's tennis team wrapped up the fall portion of their 2024-25 schedule with a 6-0 win over Missouri Valley on Saturday at the UMSL Tennis Courts. The Tritons improve to 2-0 while the Vikings drop to 0-1.
UMSL secured the first point of the match by winning both doubles contests. The number one doubles team of
Hannah Tse and
Aleksandra Lopez defeated R. Olvera and Milene Marciniuk 6-2 while its number two tandem of
Anna Favaron and
Morgan Lint beat D. Mhizha and Laura Moreno 6-1.
The Tritons won all five singles contested in the dual. Tse picked up a 6-0, 6-1 win over Olvera at number one singes. Lopez defeated Marciniuk 6-0, 6-1 and Favaron beat Mhizha 6-3, 6-2. Lint knocked off Moreno 6-0, 7-5 and
Lauren Sweeney defeated Tristan Liebenberg 6-0, 6-1.
UMSL returns to the courts in February for the start of its spring season.
