Caitlin Bishop was named a honorable mention All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Wednesday (Dec. 11). She joins former teammate
Charlotte Richards as the only Tritons to earn multiple All-American accolades.
Bishop was a First Team AVCA and Second Team D2CCA All-American in 2023.
She finished the season leading the GLVC in assists per set with 12.12 and was third in Division II in that category and was second in the conference and 10th in the country in total assists with 1,285. Bishop directed an offense that averaged nearly 14 kills per set this season while hitting .223 as a team. She was named the GLVC's Setter of the Week seven times this season, was a First Team All-GLVC selection, a First Team AVCA All-Midwest Region selection and a second team D2CCA All-Midwest region pick.
UMSL finished the 2024 season with a record of 19-9 including 8-5 in the GLVC and advanced to their fifth straight NCAA Tournament and eighth overall.
