LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The University of Missouri-St. Louis volleyball team has been honored with the 2024-25 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.
UMSL earns the honor for the 15th time since the award originated in 1992-93 and have been recognized for the 11th straight year under head coach
Ryan Young who just completed his 14th season.
The Tritons finished the academic year with a 3.52 cumulative grade point average.
On the court, UMSL finished the 2024 season with a 19-9 record, qualified for the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament and qualified for their fifth straight NCAA Tournament.
Caitlin Bishop was named an AVCA All-America honorable mention and
Alayna Santel was named the AVCA Midwest Region Freshman of the Year.
