ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team doubled up Southwest Baptist in a 14-7 win in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Dodson Field in Bolivar, Mo. The Tritons took three of four in the series to improve to 23-14 overall including 15-9 in the GLVC while the Bearcats drop to 10-28, 7-17 GLVC.
UMSL scored in each of the first five innings to jump out to a 12-0 lead halfway through the contest. The Tritons first run came in the first on

UMSL sent 12 batters to the plate in the second inning scoring seven runs on three hits.
Logan McIntyre had the big hit in the frame driving in two with a double down the right field line that made it 8-0.
The Tritons added two more in the third. With one out, Isaacs singled through the left side, stole second and scored on
Braedon Stoakes triple down the right field line.
Barrett Rose made it 10-0 with a single up the middle to bring home Stoakes.
McIntrye hit his third home run of the season to lead off the fourth inning to make it 11-0 and Rose hit his ninth home run of the season with one out in the fifth.
SBU scored four runs on two hits and an error in its half of the fifth. Cole Reece walked with the bases loaded and then Raydley Legito hit a sacrifice fly to left scoring Tre Mungin. Colby Sneed reached on an error that allowed two more runs to score.
The Bearcats got two more in the seventh. Legito singled to left center scoring Sal Jacobo and Sneed singled to right to bring home Jacobo.
UMSL added an insurance run in the eighth on McIntyre's double to left center scoring
Bryce Kulinski.
SBU got another run in its half of the eighth on an RBI single from Sneed.
The Tritons final run came in the ninth on Buescher's RBI single through the right side of the infield that scored Stoakes.
UMSL finished with 17 hits in the contest and was led by McIntyre with four while Buescher added three and Isaacs, Stoakes, Rose and
Zach Beatty had two each.
Nate Zyzda picked up his first win of the season tossing two relief innings and giving up two runs on four hits with a pair of strikeouts.
The Tritons begin a five-game homestand on Tuesday hosting Harris-Stowe in a non-conference game at 2 p.m. at the UMSL Baseball Field.
