Holloman’s Late Goal Lifts Tritons to Draw with S&T

ST. LOUIS – Jada Holloman's goal in the 88th minute lifted the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team to 1-1 tie with Missouri S&T on Sunday afternoon at Creve Coeur Soccer Park. The Tritons are 4-2-2, 1-2-2 GLVC while the Miners are 1-5-1, 1-2-1 GLVC.

S&T struck first in the 85th minute. Brooke Bendoff received a pass from Haylee Prime and slotted the ball past UMSL goalkeeper Mary Kate Neal to make it 1-0 Missouri S&T. It was Bendoff's first goal of the year.

It wouldn't take long for the Tritons to find an equalizer though scoring 2:30 later. Sophomore Aubree Wallace found Holloman in the box and she headed it home for her sixth goal of the season.

The Tritons and Miners were relatively even on shots with S&T putting six of their eight on net while UMSL put seven of its 16 shots on net.

The Tritons had the advantage in corner kicks, with six corners to one for the Miners.

UMSL concludes its three-game homestand hosting Maryville on Friday (Oct. 4) at 5 p.m. Friday's contest will be part of Parent Weekend festivities on the UMSL campus.
