INDIANAPOLIS – The season's first set of NCAA Division II Regional Rankings came out on Wednesday afternoon with the Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team listed among those receiving postseason consideration. The Tritons are one of 10 Midwest Region teams on the initial list.
This year, the first regional rankings included teams in alphabetical order only, with actual rankings set to be included in next week's release. Selection Monday comes on November 17 when the 56-team NCAA DII Championship field – eight from the Midwest Region – will be announced on NCAA.com
UMSL is looking to make its second straight NCAA Tournament appearance and sixth overall.
The Tritons wrap up the regular season this weekend traveling to Truman State on Friday for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff with the Bulldogs and conclude the regular season at William Jewell on Sunday at 12 p.m.
UMSL has clinched a spot in the GLVC Tournament but is battling with McKendree, Drury, Maryville and Quincy to serve as one of four hosts for the opening round of the GLVC Tournament on Nov. 9.
