EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's team opened its spring schedule with a 6-1 loss against Southern Indiana on Saturday at the Evansville Tennis Center in Evansville, Ind. The Tritons drop to 2-2 while the Screaming Eagles improve to 2-3.
UMSL picked up a win at number two doubles as
Tanin Ramnath and
Daniel Berdecio beat Quinten Gillespie and Eytan Michaeli 6-0 but couldn't secure the doubles point as USI won the final two doubles contests to take the 1-0 lead in the match.
The Screaming Eagles secured the victory winning the first five singles contests before the Tritons got a win from
Henry Roberts over Gillespie 8-6 in the number five singles contest.
UMSL returns to the court on Sunday (March 9) hosting Purdue Northwest at 10 a.m., at the UMSL Tennis Courts.
