WEEKLY REWIND…
Men's Basketball
The Tritons extended their winning streak to a season-high four games with wins over Quincy and Upper Iowa last weekend.
Matt Enright led the team in scoring with 20.5 points per game and shot 62.5 percent from three.
Women's Basketball
The Tritons went 1-1 last week falling to Quincy 64-58 last Thursday but bounced back on Saturday with a 76-49 win over Upper Iowa.
Aalia Carlson scored an UMSL career-high 13 points against the Peacocks.
Men's Golf
The No. 18 ranked Tritons finished seventh out of 17 teams at the rain shortened Houston Classic last Monday and Tuesday.
Logan Mayo led UMSL with a 36-hole score of 144 (73-71) to finish in a tie for 15th.
Women's Swimming
The Tritons finished fifth out of teams with a total of 738 points at the GLVC Swimming and Diving Championships in Elkhart, Ind., last week.
Justice Beard broke the GLVC record twice to win the 500 free and finished second in the 1,000 and 1650 free to earn All-GLVC honors in all three events.
Men's Swimming
The Tritons finished sixth out of 11 teams with a total of 602.5 points at the GLVC Swimming and Diving Championships in Elkhart, Ind., last week.
Ryan Conner had the team's highest finish of the week taking sixth in the 200 back on Saturday evening.
Women's Tennis
The Tritons defeated Southern Indiana 5-2 in its first match of the spring at the Evansville Tennis Center on Saturday evening.
Lauren Sweeney clinched the victory with 6-3, 6-2 win over Abigail Myers at No. 6 singles.
Men's Tennis
The Tritons opened their spring schedule with a 6-1 loss at Southern Indiana on Saturday evening.
Henry Roberts won his match at No. 5 singles while
Tanin Ramnath and
Daniel Berdecio won at No. 2 doubles.
Men's and Women's Track and Field
The Tritons sent competitors to Grand Valley State and Washburn this past weekend.
Benjamin VandenBrink led the way for UMSL at Grand Valley finishing second in his heat of the 5,000 meters with a personal best time of 14:24.05 and took sixth in the 3,000 meters (8:27.98).
Caleb Cody-Jackson had the best finish of the weekend for the Tritons taking second in the 400 meters at 48.63 seconds. For the women,
Kennedy Moore finished 22nd in the triple jump at Washburn with a mark of 10.61 meters (34'09.75").
