ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team dropped a nonconference contest at Division I Lindenwood 10-0 in seven innings on Tuesday evening at the Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo. The Tritons are 25-21 on the season while the Lions are 19-21.
Lindenwood jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI single from Filip Sarota and a two-run single from Tanner Simpson. The Lions extended the lead in the fourth with an RBI single from Jake Radosevich and then broke it open with three in the sixth and three more in the seventh for the victory.
Simpson had a two-run double in the sixth and Sam Grunberg added a two-single in the seventh.
UMSL was held to three hits in the contest with
Braedon Stoakes,
Barrett Rose and
Mitch Bonczkowski recording one apiece.
Ryan Berry took the loss giving up four runs on four hits with two walks in three innings pitched.
The Tritons are back in action next Thursday (May 1) hosting Maryville in the first of a four-game series starting at 2 p.m. at the UMSL Baseball Field.
