SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's tennis team won two of its three doubles matches on Friday but it wouldn't be enough as it fell to Westmont 5-2 at the Abbott Tennis Courts in Santa Barbara, Calif. The Tritons are now 3-9 on the season while the Warriors move to 8-6.

UMSL grabbed the opening point of the dual as its number two doubles squad of Henry Roberts and Joan Garros defeated Diego De Cooman and Zach Steinberg by the score of 6-2. The Tritons number three team of Andrea Ricart and Daniel Berdecio beat Arjun Sivakumar and Jon Ball 6-2. UMSL led in the number one doubles contest 5-4 when the doubles point was clinched.

The Tritons got a win from Berdecio at number three singles as defeated Antoine De Cooman 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 but it wouldn't be enough as Westmont won the remaining five singles contests to rally for the victory.

UMSL is back in action next Friday (April 3) as it travels to Fulton, Mo., to take on William Woods at the Suzanne Neal Memorial Tennis Complex.
