PERU, Ind, -- The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team earned the second seed in Friday's Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) match play after finishing the second in the 54-hole stroke play at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Ind.
The Tritons posted a team score of 865 (291-288-286) and finished seven strokes behind Missouri S&T (288-280-290 - 858) in the 13-team field.
UMSL will face No. 3 seed Drury in Friday's semifinal at 7 a.m. (CDT) while S&T faces No. 4 seed UIndy in the other semifinal. The winners of the two semifinals will meet in the afternoon for the GLVC team title. The Tritons are in match play for the 12th straight year.
Individually,
Trigg Lindahl,
Logan Mayo and
Dani Solavera finished in the top 10 of the championship. Lindal finished with a score of 211 (70-71-70) to finish second overall to earn All-GLVC honors. Mayo and Solavera were tied for eighth with respective scores of 219. May had rounds of 74-72-73 while Solavera turned in scores of 73-70-76.
Leo Baudry was tied for 12th at 221 (75-75-71),
Benjamin Berger had a 54-hole total of 223 (74-77-72) and was tied for 17th while
Ludvig Granlund shot a 226 (77-76-73) and was tied for 20th.
Drury's Gaige Lewis was the individual medalist with a final score of 210 (69-72-69) winning by one shot over Lindahl.
