BIG RAPIDS, Mich – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's golf team is in seventh place with a total team score of 588 (293-295) after the second day of the NCAA Midwest/Central Regional at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Mich., on Friday.
The Tritons were led by
Dani Solavera who shot a 71 (-1) and is at even par for the tournament with a score of 144 (73-71) and is tied for 14th.
Trigg Lindahl finished his day with a round of 73 and is tied for 21st at 146 (73-73) while
Leo Baudry rebounded from a tough opening round with a score of 75 and is at 157 (82-75) for the tournament.
Ludvig Granlund and
Logan Mayo shot scores of 76 in their respective rounds. Granlund enters Saturday's final round with a score of 148 (72-76) while Mayo is at 151 (75-76).
Central Missouri's CJ Phillips surged to the top of the leaderboard with a score of 66 in his second round and has a five shot lead over Davenport's Cayden Kean and Winona State's Javier Casariego heading into Saturday. Phillips has a 36-hole total score of 134 (68-66). Grand Valley State is the team leader through two rounds with a score of 573 (286-287) and is one shot ahead of Central Missouri for the team title.
The three teams with the lowest scores at the conclusion of Saturday's round will gain an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships in Boulder City, Nev., May 18-22.
The final round of the 2026 NCAA Midwest/Central Regional is set to tee off at 6:30 a.m. (CDT) on Saturday at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids, Mich. UMSL will begin teeing off at 10 a.m. (CDT).
