ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri–St. Louis Department of Athletics is proud to announce a new partnership with Influxer, a leading Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) platform designed to provide meaningful NIL opportunities for student-athletes while creating new ways for fans to support their favorite Tritons.
The partnership provides UMSL student-athletes with the opportunity to create and sell officially licensed personalized merchandise featuring their name, number, and likeness, allowing them to earn royalties while building their personal brand. At the same time, UMSL Athletics will receive royalties from merchandise sales that can be reinvested into the continued success of Triton Athletics. The platform also includes professional development opportunities, educational resources, and career-focused programming for student-athletes.
Influxer serves over 70,000 student-athletes and generates more than five million dollars in royalties through its NIL marketplace.
"This partnership is about creating opportunities for every one of our student-athletes," said
Dr. Holly Sheilley, Executive Director of Athletics. "At UMSL, we believe NIL should not be limited to just a select few. Influxer aligns perfectly with our commitment to developing the whole student-athlete by providing access to revenue-generating opportunities, career development experiences, and valuable educational resources that prepare our Tritons for success long after graduation."
Through Influxer, UMSL student-athletes will be able to:
- Launch personalized online merchandise stores featuring officially licensed apparel and products.
- Earn flat-rate royalties on every qualifying merchandise sale.
- Track earnings and manage their NIL activity through the Influxer mobile app.
- Participate in paid NIL internship opportunities focused on marketing, business, social media, and digital storytelling.
- Access additional NIL resources, including agent connections, career placement opportunities, and business partnerships.
Fans, alumni, family members, and supporters will soon be able to purchase officially licensed Triton merchandise featuring their favorite student-athletes, creating a direct way to celebrate UMSL Athletics while supporting the individuals who represent the university on the field, court, course, and track.
"As collegiate athletics continues to evolve, it is essential that we provide our student-athletes with innovative opportunities to enhance their experience," Sheilley added. "Influxer gives our Tritons the ability to build their personal brand, connect with fans, gain real-world business experience, and benefit from NIL in a way that is accessible, educational, and sustainable."
The rollout of the Influxer platform will begin in the coming weeks, with student-athlete onboarding, educational sessions, and merchandise launches scheduled throughout the fall semester.
