St. Louis—The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team battled to a scoreless draw against Drury on Saturday night at Don Dallas Field. The Tritons are 3-1-2, 2-0-1 GLVC while the Panthers are 1-2-3, 1-0-2 GLVC.
UMSL had 15 shots in the contest with three falling on frame. Perhaps their best chance came in the 26
th minute when
Maddie Clark whipped a corner kick in that hit off the top frame of the goal.
Aubrey Rego had a chance a few minutes later, finding herself in space at the top of the box but her shot attempt fell to Drury's keeper.
Allysa Wolf had four saves, keeping her second consecutive clean sheet. Wolf came up big in the 21
st minute, coming off her line to stop a developing one on one chance by Drury's Melissa Higgins. In the 75
th minute, Wolf again came off her line, just getting a piece of Drury's shot to knock the ball wide and preserve the clean sheet.
Clark led the Tritons with three shot attempts on the night while Rego,
Avery Hesseldenz, and
AJ Baldwin had the Tritons three shots on net.
UMSL begins a two-game road trip next Wednesday (Sept. 16) as it travels to Indianapolis to take on the Greyhounds at 1:30 p.m. (CDT).
