OWENSBORO, KY. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball team suffered an 82-64 loss at Kentucky Wesleyan Saturday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action.
The Panthers took advantage of 19 UMSL turnovers, turning the miscues into 27 points on the other end.
The Tritons slip to 5-6 overall, including 0-3 in the GLVC, while Kentucky Wesleyan improves to 6-3 and 2-0 in the league.

Devonna Smith paced UMSL with 18 points and seven rebounds, while sophomore
Tierra Snow added 10 points off the bench.
Kentucky Wesleyan jumped out to an early 12-7 lead before a 10-4 run by UMSL gave the Tritons its first lead of the game at 17-16 on a Smith bucket. The Panthers answered back with a 10-2 spurt en route to a 33-23 halftime advantage and shot 58.6 percent from the field in the second half to preserve the win.
UMSL shot 41.7 percent from the field, while Kentucky Wesleyan connected at a 50.9 percent mark. Both teams pulled down 35 rebounds, while the Tritons snagged two more on the offensive end, outscoring the Panthers, 22-11, in second chance points.
Sophomore
Kelly McGovern led UMSL in assists and steals with three each.
The Tritons return to action on Thursday, hosting Bellarmine at 5:30 p.m.
