SETTING THE SCENE
The University of Missouri-St. Louis men's basketball team begins a five-game home stand on Saturday when it hosts Robert Morris of Springfield.  

SIZING UP THE TRITONS
UMSL fell to 2-2 after an 81-75 loss at Upper Iowa on Tuesday night. The Tritons have three players averaging double figures, led by junior Aareon Smith's 16.3 points per game. Senior Darian Cartharn follows at 12.0 points per game, while junior Tylor Wimbish adds 11.3 points per game to go with a team-best 6.3 rebounds per game.

LAST TIME OUT
UMSL saw Upper Iowa rally back from a 15-point second half deficit en route to the 81-75 loss to the Peacocks on Tuesday night. The Tritons used a 9-2 run to open the second half, turning a 45-39 halftime lead into a 56-41 advantage with 16:43 to play. However, Upper Iowa began chipping away and took a 74-73 lead it would not relinquish with 2:04 to play. Senior Darian Cartharn led UMSL with 16 points, knocking down 4-of-9 three pointers. After scoring 45 points and shooting 53.1 percent in the first half, the Tritons were held to 30 second half points and a 34.3 shooting percentage.

HOME SWEET HOME
UMSL owns a 342-207 (.623) record in its home facility - the Mark Twain Building. The arena opened in the fall of 1971 and during the 1971-72 season, the Tritons posted a 13-0 record on their new home court. UMSL was 11-4 on its home floor last season.

HOME SWEET HOME... PART II
UMSL has won 14 straight nonconference games at home since the start of the 2010-11 season. It's last non-league loss came on December 21, 2009 in a 63-48 setback to Christian Brothers.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Robert Morris-Springfield is 4-5 overall, having lost its last two games to fellow GLVC opponents Quincy (92-78) and Missouri S&T (109-98). Denzell Walker averages more than 23 points per game for the Eagles and is coming off a 33-point effort at Missouri S&T, in which he hit 6-of-9 three-pointers.

THE SERIES
UMSL is 10-0 all-time against Robert Morris-Springfield and posted an 83-54 win over the Eagles last season.

THE THREE BALL
UMSL set a single season record with 228 three-pointers last season, while shooting 37.7 percent. This year, the Tritons are connecting at a 40.5 percent mark from long range, which ranks fourth in the GLVC. UMSL has 32 three-pointers, an average of eight per game, which is sixth in the league.

Senior Darian Cartharn, who drained 77 long balls last year, has a team-best 11 through four games this season.

WELCOME TO MY BLOCK PARTY
UMSL has a GLVC-best 16 blocks this season, an average of 4.0 per game. Junior Tylor Wimbish owns a team-best five blocked shots.

REBOUNDING WOES
UMSL has outrebounded just one opponent this season, holding a 41-36 advantage over Upper Iowa at home. The Tritons' rebounding margin of -3.5 is second to last in the league.

The five-game home stand continues next weekend as the Tritons host Hannibal-LaGrange on Friday night and Missouri Valley on Sunday.
