SETTING THE SCENE
UMSL returns home Thursday in the start of a four-game homestand - its longest of the GLVC schedule. The Tritons entertain William Jewell before welcoming Rockhurst on Saturday. UMSL, which has lost five of its last six games, is looking to bounce back from a pair of road losses last weekend. The Tritons came up short in a 76-73 setback at No. 5 ranked and defending NCAA Division II national champion Drury last Thursday and saw Missouri S&T rally back for an 85-79 win on Saturday.

SIZING UP THE TRITONS
UMSL is 10-7 overall, including 4-5 in the GLVC. The Tritons fell into a tie for third place in the West Division standings with Missouri S&T after the Miners won Saturday's contest. Senior Femi John averages 13.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game, while junior Tylor Wimbish adds 13.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. However, Wimbish has produced three straight 20-plus scoring games and is averaging 24.7 points during that stretch.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
William Jewell is 7-10 overall, including 3-6 in the GLVC and sits in sixth place in the West Division standings. The Cardinals have lost four of their last five and are coming off a 67-52 home loss to Truman State. All five starters average double figures, led by Devonte Bell's 13.1 points per game. Dwight Sistrunk adds 12.3 points and averages a team-best 6.8 rebounds per game. The Cardinals are shooting a GLVC fourth-best 38.7 percent from three-point range, but rank last in defense from beyond the arc, allowing opponents to shoot 38.8 percent.

Rockhurst enters a Thursday game at Maryville with a 5-11 overall record, including a 1-8 GLVC mark. The Hawks, which have lost four straight, defeated Saint Joseph's, 95-84, for their only league win. Brandon McCann averages a team-high 17.5 points per game and has drained 42 three-pointers. Rockhurst averages 8.31 three-pointers per game, which is fourth in the GLVC.

THE SERIES
UMSL leads the all-time series with William Jewell, 9-5, however, the Cardinals won both meetings last season, including an 80-75 win in St. Louis and a 79-71 decision in Liberty, Mo.

Rockhurst owns a 20-17 advantage in the all-time series. The Tritons won both meetings last year, posting a 73-65 road victory and a 95-55 home victory.
