SIZING UP THE TRITIONSUMSL is 6-7-1 overall, including 4-7-1 in the GLVC. The Tritons are coming off a 1-1 double OT tie at Indianapolis last Friday and a 3-1 win at St. Joseph's last Sunday for their first win since September 21. Junior
Jen Eaton scored the goal against UIndy to end a six-game scoring drought and also scored against St. Joseph's, while juniors
Cassie McFadden and
Katie Rapisardo also added goals.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTSTruman State is 10-3-2 overall, including 8-2-2 in the GLVC. Offensively Alexis Hefernan leads the Bulldogs with eight goals, while eight other players have recorded at least one goal on the season. Defensively, Katie Mattingly ranks second in the conference in goals against average (0.40).
Quincy enters a Friday contest against Maryville with a 7-6-2 overall record, including a 6-4-2 mark in the GLVC. Freshman Mackenzie Rief and junior Ashley Burton lead the Hawks with nine points. Defensively for the Hawks, freshman goalkeeper Megan Swanson ranks fourth in the conference in save percentages (.854).
