Box Score 2 KIRKSVILLE, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team recorded a season-best 15 hits en route to a 13-6 victory at Truman State on Friday afternoon in the first of two games. The Bulldogs won game two, 6-0, as the two teams were opening a four-game Great Lakes Valley Conference series.
UMSL moves to 17-17 overall with the split, including 15-11 in the GLVC, while Truman State is now 19-19 and 14-12 in the league. The series will conclude tomorrow with a doubleheader at 12 p.m.

Michael Budka tallied three hits and recorded four RBIs – all in a six-run fourth inning in which he led off with a homerun.
Juniors
Jose Ortiz and
Shane Brinker each added three hits, while senior
Tyler Bunge recorded two hits and four RBIs.
After UMSL took an 8-2 lead in the top of the fourth, Truman got two runs back in the bottom of the frame. An Ortiz RBI single in the fifth made it 9-4 before the Tritons added four more runs in the eighth, including two on a Bunge RBI single.
Senior
Zach Standerfer (3-3) picked up the win on the mound, working seven complete innings. He allowed four runs on eight hits, while striking out four and walking three.
GAME 2: Truman State 6, UMSL 0 (7 innings)After 15 hits in the first game, the Tritons were limited to just five in the nightcap. UMSL was also plagued by four errors, which led to three unearned runs.
The Bulldogs, which tallied eight hits, jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and plated three more in the sixth inning.
Senior
Jonathan Rosario (4-2) took the loss, allowing all six runs and eight hits.
Bunge recorded two of UMSL's five hits, including one double.
