Daniel Seddon each had four hits as the University of Missouri-St. Louis baseball team collected a pair of one-run victories at William Jewell on Saturday in the start of a four-game Great Lakes Valley Conference series. The Tritons won the opener, 4-3, before taking the nightcap, 2-1.
UMSL improves to 12-10 overall, including 10-6 in the GLVC, while William Jewell slips to 8-18 overall and 6-10 in the league.
The two teams will close out the series tomorrow with a 12 p.m. doubleheader.

Jose Ortiz in the ninth inning for the game-winner.
Seddon and Landwehr each finished with two hits, while senior
Paul Richmond also recorded two hits and added an RBI, driving in UMSL's first run of the game with a first inning single. The Tritons tallied a season-best 13 hits, including three doubles.

Zach Standefer tossed the complete game victory, scattering seven hits.
