SCOUTING THE OPPONENT Bellarmine enters the GLVC opener with a 2-1 record. Seven Knights have recorded at least one goal, including Katie Fernandez who leads the team with three.
McKendree opens GLVC play Friday night at Maryville with a record of 1-2. The Bearcat offense is led by senior Natalie Crane (three goals) and sophomore Alyssa Reiniger (two goals).
LAST YEAR AGAINST THESE OPPONENTS In 2013 when the Tritons matched up with McKendree it ended with a tie (1-1) after two overtimes. UMSL came up short against the Knights in 2013 suffering a 2-1 loss.
SIZING UP THE TRITIONS Junior midfielder
Laura Hurlbut was named the GLVC Offensive Player of the Week after she scored two goals and recorded one assist to lead the way to a weekend sweep for the Tritons. The Tritons come into the GLVC opener with five different players having recorded at least one goal.
