Hunter Wagoner's goal just before halftime proved to be the game-winner as the University of Missouri-St. Louis women's soccer team picked up its first Great Lakes Valley Conference win of the season with a 1-0 victory over McKendree on Sunday.
Wagoner scored unassisted at the 43:06 mark as she moved across the midfield and fired a shot from 27 yards out that went past Bearcats keeper Anna Sassman.
The Tritons improve to 3-1 overall, including 1-1 in the GLVC, while McKendree is now 1-4 and 0-2 in the league.
UMSL fired 16 shots in the contest, landing six on goal, while McKendree took 11 shots, placing two on goal. The Tritons held a 9-3 edge in shots in the first half.

Cassie McFadden had five shots, including two on goal, while Wagoner finished with three. Junior
Mary Hoffmann placed both of her shot attempts on goal.

Megan Ohm played all 90 minutes in goal, registering two saves, while picking up her second shutout of the year.
UMSL returns to action Friday, traveling to Southern Indiana.
